About Touching The Earth Farm
We are a Regenerative Tropical Fruit Tree Farm with a focus on building healthy soil and communities.

Touching The Earth Farm History
The Dragon Heart tree farm was established in 1988, and was conventionally farmed for a decade. When Bennett Dorrance purchased the land in 1998, he intended to learn how to farm organically, but took on other commitments preventing him from personally leading the operations. Since then, the farm has gone through different management efforts and different styles of farming organically until the last few years.
Bennett’s efforts in community health and wellness gradually brought him back to a focus on the farm as it became clear to him that community health and the land’s health are intimately connected. In the last 2 years, with the help of some awesome farmers, Touching The Earth Farm was newly named to capture the vision for a regenerative farm, both in plant practices as well as for people and community.
Why Regenerative Farming?
Regenerative farming is a comprehensive farming approach with a foundational emphasis on maintaining a balanced ecosystem. While the primary focus is on healthy soil, the use of soil amendments and responsible water usage are also integral. Regenerative farming techniques implemented at Touching The Earth Farm focus specifically on agricultural ecosystem rehabilitation, soil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, and water cycle efficiency improvements.
