Farm Hand – Landscaping
Essential Functions
- Perform routine groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, weed whacking, tree-trimming, pruning, mulching and composting throughout the 20 acres of various farm spaces including tree orchards, soil amendment facility, fence lines, residential properties and ponds.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, utilizing farm equipment and small hand tools and track in maintenance logs.
- Harvesting and processing viable product(s) from our soil amendment facility, farm gardens and tree orchards.
- Maintain and upkeep our plant nursery.
- Assist and support Farm team on duties as assigned
Farm Hand – Fertilization & Vermiculture
Essential Functions
- Develop, install and implement systems to nourish, restore and upkeep the fertility, restoration and well being of the farm. Including protocols and systems based on regenerative, natural and organic farm practices.
- Provides production support to Soil Amendments Operations including R&D and procurement
- Performs duties related to worm sustainability and production, through the life cycle (ie, feeding, harvesting, and preparing worms for sale), while adhering to quality control standards and production procedures.
- Provides routine facilities maintenance (including equipment)
- Utilizes heavy equipment (including skid steer, tractor, chipper, etc.) and power tools (chain saws, sprayers, plows, etc.) as necessary adhering to all safety use guidelines and protocols
- Assist and support Farm team on duties as assigned
