Powered by solar energy, we are committed to environmental responsibility. Additionally, we support our kitchen users by offering Touching The Earth Farm’s seasonal produce at wholesale prices, fostering economic sustainability and collaboration. Our ethos revolves around teamwork, creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to a stronger, healthier community.

As a “Cold Kitchen,” we operate without a hood vent, ensuring no open flames or vaporized grease are permitted. Nevertheless, our kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop to meet your culinary needs.
Our Kitchen offers budget-friendly rental options for commercial kitchen space to farmers and value-added producers in Hawai’i.

Find us


You’ll locate us in Hawi, conveniently nestled off Lincoln Avenue on the mauka (mountain) side. Keep an eye out for the first black gate on your left side, approximately 0.3 miles up. Once through the gate, veer right, leading you to the first green building with grass parking to your right. Viewing of the kitchen is by appointment only.

Need your Food Handler’s Certification?

The State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Food Safety Program offers a free 2-hour certification class on safe food handling practices.

Want to use our kitchen?

Complete the Support Kitchen Use Agreement along with your permit and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) then submit to the DOH to gain access to our kitchen facilities and commence your operations today!

Special Event Permit

If you’re planning to sell your products at farmers’ markets, catering events, or other direct-to-consumer sales venues, you’ll require a special event permit. Inspections are not mandatory, and each permit applies to a specific location.

Food Establishment Permit

For all other food establishments such as food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, food trucks, and restaurants, an inspection is necessary, and you must obtain a food establishment permit. Additionally, if you’re producing value-added products and intend to sell them in grocery stores or at the Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car market, a Food Establishment Permit is required.
